PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucifrous Satanous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Stroef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Satanous kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Put You To Bed. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Satanous changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stroef looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Satanous is working Stroef over with some ground and pound from side control.

It looks like Simon Stroef has been cut.
Stroef felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Satanous throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Stroef works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Satanous wants to pass the guard but Stroef is defending well.

Satanous is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stroef is just riding it out for now. Satanous eventually gives up the hold.

Stroef is trying to stand up here but Satanous is controlling him well.
Satanous has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Satanous is looking for a kimura but Stroef is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Satanous to get the leverage.

Satanous definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Stroef is not content to let Satanous control the position.
Satanous is really struggling to control Stroef but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Satanous working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That has opened up Simon Stroef's cut even more.

Lucifrous Satanous spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
