Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Wayne Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruno Stahl! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerr misses with a low kick.
Good standup being displayed there by Stahl as he connects with a hook. Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stahl swats him away and circles back towards the center. Stahl throws a looping overhand right but Kerr ducks down to avoid it. We've been told by Kerr's head coaches at Wrath MMA Club $200 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kerr on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Stahl digs a good body shot into Kerr's ribs. Kerr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stahl sprawls well. Stahl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kerr gets slowly back to his feet. Stahl lands with a straight right. Kerr didn't see that one coming. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stahl throws out a loose jab but Kerr uses good head movement to avoid it. Stahl throws a jab but it's blocked by Kerr. Stahl lands with a good body shot. Stahl slaps away a takedown attempt from Kerr, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kerr takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Stahl's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kerr under the eye. Stahl blocks a head kick by Kerr.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stahl with a body punch. A glancing blow. Stahl lands a nice shot to the body.
Kerr is breathing heavily. Stahl lands a slapping body shot.
Stahl throws a good cross that connects.
Stahl cracks Kerr with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Stahl has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kerr to stand back up!
Kerr is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stahl dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Oh Kerr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kerr gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Stahl gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
