The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilja shoots in but no luck this time.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lilja.
NiShagu Nazad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lilja avoids the head kick by Nazad.
Lilja tries to clinch but Nazad moves out of range.
Lilja shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nazad as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Lilja shoots in and drives through. Nazad sprawls well.
Nazad fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lilja sprawls well initially but Nazad persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Nazad is looking for a kimura but Lilja is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nazad to get the leverage.
Nazad moves into full mount! Lilja won't be happy about that!
Nazad is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lilja can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lilja is desperately trying to improve his position but Nazad has a good base and remains in mount.

Nazad has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lilja's face.
Lilja is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nazad lands a heavy elbow.
Lilja is wriggling around trying to escape.

Lilja is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Nazad has taken his back.
Lilja wants to get back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nazad has closed the distance and engaged Lilja in a clinch.
Lilja goes for a takedown attempt but Nazad pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Nazad counters with a takedown into side control.
Lilja is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nazad passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lilja!
Lilja tries to hold on but Nazad pushes him away.

Lilja is trying to reverse the position but instead Nazad has taken his back - oops!
Nazad struggling to keep hold of the position.
Nazad is working for a rear naked choke. Lilja is not defending it well and Nazad has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Lilja refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Lilja's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
