Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Alvarez. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Chavez.
Chavez throws a head punch that misses.
A short uppercut from Johnson.
Chavez breaks the clinch.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses.
Johnson tries to work over Chavez's front leg with a kick but Chavez checks it.
Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Chavez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Johnson.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Chavez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chavez connects with a high kick.
Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Chavez sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Nice defenses there by Johnson.
Chavez scores with a head kick. Johnson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Chavez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Chavez manages to avoid it.
Chavez walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Johnson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Chavez swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Johnson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hugo Chavez!
After winning the bout, Hugo Chavez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
