Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Zamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Zamora's choice of entrance music: Nirvana - Lake of Fire. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Colon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Danny Zamora! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zamora catches Colon with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Zamora fakes the leg kick and cracks Colon in the body. Zamora lands a nice leg kick that just misses Colon's sensitive parts. Zamora takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Zamora misses with a wild combination.
Colon checks the leg kick nicely there.
Colon misses with a lunging right hand
and Zamora makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Zamora changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Colon tries to avoid it but Zamora manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Colon to the ground. Colon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Colon lands a leg kick that knocks Zamora off balance momentarily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zamora throws a leg kick that is checked and Colon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Colon misses with a low kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Zamora has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Colon keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Zamora tries a head kick but it misses.
Zamora comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Colon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Zamora misses with a kick to the body and Colon counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zamora's knee momentarily. Colon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Colon wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Colon clinches. Zamora misses with some punches.
Colon breaks the clinch.
Colon thows a body shot but no joy. Santiago Colon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A looping hook to the body misses from Zamora. Colon does a little dance to reset his feet. Zamora has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Colon. Zamora ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. That kick from Colon tenderised Zamora's leg. Zamora is trying to keep his angry face on. Zamora uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Colon. Zamora throws out a powerful jab. Zamora wants to slow Colon down by chopping away at his legs. Colon takes a swing at Zamora's ribcage but misses. An inside leg kick from Zamora misses. Colon moves out of range of the leg kick from Zamora. Colon lands a really nice looking cross but Zamora seems unphased.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! That kick from Colon tenderised Zamora's leg. Zamora is trying to keep his angry face on. Colon is looking to score with low kicks. Colon takes a swing at Zamora's ribcage but misses. Zamora fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Colon manages to avoid it. Colon scoring well with a low kick there.
Zamora throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A clash of legs there as Zamora blocks the low kick. Jab, jab by Colon - just one landing. Colon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Decent striking displayed by Colon there. Zamora throws a body kick that misses. Zamora chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Colon can pounce on him.
Zamora misses with a kick to the body.
Donk. Colon catches Zamora right on the button with a cross.
Zamora is rocked! Colon drives through and clinches with Zamora against the cage.
Zamora is still on wobbly legs! Can Colon finish him? A body shot lands from Colon.
Zamora seems to have recovered his senses. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colon tries to work over Zamora's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Colon lands a body punch. Colon lands with a left to the head. Zamora manages to break the clinch.
Some bone on bone action there as Colon checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Zamora walks straight into a right hand from Colon - that's dropped him! Colon jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Zamora from any more punishment! Zamora complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Santiago Colon! A very excited looking Santiago Colon made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
