Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diego Godin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Urijah Faber has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diego Godin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Urijah Faber! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Godin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Faber.
Faber doesn't succeed with the takedown and Godin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Faber looking for submissions off his back. Godin is looking to advance position but Faber won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Faber manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Godin stopping the sweep attempt from Faber. Faber keeping moving, preventing Godin from controlling successfully. Godin advances position into side control! Faber is looking to regain half guard here but Godin keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Godin trying to control the action but Faber is working from the bottom. Faber is trying to improve his position. Godin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Godin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Godin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faber keeps working. Faber tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Godin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Faber struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Faber defending against the ground and pound. Godin working the ground and pound but Faber is defending the strikes. Godin scoring with punches from side control. Faber tries to bench press Godin off him but Godin keeps the position. Godin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Godin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Faber manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Godin is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Godin throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Faber to regain full guard. Faber manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Godin manages to get himself to full guard.
Faber trying to control but Godin is working from the bottom. Faber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Godin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Godin looking for a guillotine here but Faber defends easily.
Godin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Faber defends well. Godin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Faber accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Faber trying to control the position from guard on top but Godin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Faber must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Godin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Faber is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Godin pulls down on the head and he's put Faber to sleep! This one is all over!
