Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Byongsun Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ari Sotaheimo!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Robinson.
Sotaheimo throws a big shot that misses.
Robinson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sotaheimo defends it nicely.
Sotaheimo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Robinson is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Robinson walks into a straight right hand from Sotaheimo.
Sotaheimo connects with a high kick.
Byongsun Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robinson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've been told by Robinson's head coaches at Sydney Elite Systems that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Robinson shoots in and bounces Sotaheimo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Robinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sotaheimo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sotaheimo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sotaheimo is sitting in close to Robinson's body. Robinson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sotaheimo is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sotaheimo is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Robinson.
