Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cosh Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
34 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Bastard!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Boy passes into half guard.
Boy wants to control but Bastard is keeping him busy.
Boy looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bastard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Boy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Boy throwing shots but Bastard is blocking nicely.
Boy is taking a breather. Bastard says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bastard looks winded!
Boy uses his free foot to push down on Bastard's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bastard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bastard taking shots to the head.
Boy with a couple of short strikes.
The referee warns Bastard that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Boy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Boy tries to control but Bastard wriggling away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boy controlling his opponent.
Bastard is in a horrible position here. Boy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bastard can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Bastard is rocked!
Boy lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Bastard! Boy sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Bastard and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cosh Boy!
A very excited looking Cosh Boy made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
