0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ace fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ace will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ace shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ace works his foot free and advances to mount. Ace wants to control the pace but Ribeiro is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ace is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ribeiro is surviving well by controlling Ace's body position as best he can. Ribeiro is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribeiro is squirming around, avoiding Ace's attempts to control the action. Ace thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Bjj Ace dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ribeiro swats away the attempt to clinch by Ace. Ace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ribeiro as he avoids it easily. Ace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ace goes for a double leg but Ribeiro avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ribeiro continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Ace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ace changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ribeiro fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ace is defended easily by Ribeiro. Ace shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ribeiro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ribeiro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Ace wants to pass to mount but Ribeiro is defending the position. Ace wants to control but Ribeiro is keeping him busy. Bjj Ace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We're going to have a standup here because Bjj Ace wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ribeiro cracks Ace with an open hand slap. Ace tries for a takedown but Ribeiro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ace tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ribeiro swivels and escapes. Ace dives in for a single leg takedown but Ribeiro sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ace is looking for a takedown. Ace has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ribeiro after a bit of a struggle. Ace changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ribeiro fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ace gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ribeiro. Ace fails to land the takedown. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ace misses with a jab, cross combination.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ribeiro drops Ace with a beautiful combination! Ace stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ribeiro is looking for the KO!
Ace is rocked! Vinicius Ribeiro seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ribeiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ribeiro wants it to stay on the feet. Oh Ace is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ribeiro with a strong takedown there and he's ended up in side control. Ribeiro tries to stand but Ace is controlling his head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vinicius Ribeiro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bjj Ace's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Ace shoots in and drives through. Ribeiro sprawls well. Ace seems to have got his legs back now. Ribeiro smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ribeiro lands a big uppercut and Ace crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ace looks OK. Ribeiro waves Ace back to his feet!

Bjj Ace's cut is getting worse. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ace is aggressively charging in as Ribeiro backs up avoiding any damage. Ribeiro tosses out a jab and Ace runs right into it face first! Ace is out cold! Ribeiro dropped down on all fours and is barking in Ace's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
