Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, B Ron Trilliss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raymond Whittaker!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trilliss with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Whittaker to score with a decent uppercut.
Whittaker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Trilliss tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Whittaker swivels and escapes.
A slow jab from Whittaker misses its intended target.
Whittaker bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Trilliss's head.
A thudding body kick lands there by Whittaker!
Trilliss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Trilliss is trying hard to land a takedown here. Whittaker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Whittaker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Trilliss at a distance.

Trilliss gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Whittaker misses with a hook from the clinch.
Trilliss blocking some punches.
Trilliss is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Whittaker gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for B Ron Trilliss. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Trilliss drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trilliss is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Whittaker to keep the fight standing.
Whittaker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Whittaker works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Whittaker lands a left hand that snaps the head of Trilliss backwards.
Trilliss tries for a takedown but Whittaker manages to get underhooks.
Whittaker misses with the head strike.
Trilliss can't get the takedown.

Trilliss blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Whittaker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Whittaker lands a body shot in the clinch.
A short right from Whittaker on the inside.
Trilliss blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Trilliss is looking for a takedown.
Trilliss is breathing heavily.
Whittaker throws a head punch that misses.

Trilliss ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Trilliss no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Whittaker chips away with some ground and pound.
Whittaker scoring with punches to the head and body.

Whittaker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Whittaker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Whittaker postures up and lands a big shot to Trilliss's brow.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Whittaker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.


Trilliss is rocked!
Whittaker is stalling in the full guard.
Oh Trilliss is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whittaker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Whittaker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Whittaker postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Trilliss covers up, he's hurt! Whittaker keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Whittaker and the ref steps in to end the fight! Whittaker can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raymond Whittaker!
