Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dave Pedrosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Japn Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Japn Fighter! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter throws the left hand but Pedrosa avoids the punch easily. Fighter throws a big shot that misses. Fighter throws a looping overhand right but Pedrosa ducks down to avoid it. Fighter misses with a hook
so Pedrosa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pedrosa landing some decent shots from guard. Fighter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pedrosa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fighter on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fighter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pedrosa's corner. There ya go! There ya go! That's one minute gone in the round. Pedrosa trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fighter's guard. Pedrosa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pedrosa tries to stand but Fighter is controlling from the bottom. Fighter working for submissions but it's allowed Pedrosa to get to half guard.

Fighter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Pedrosa stands up over Fighter, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fighter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pedrosa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pedrosa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fighter is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pedrosa defends well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fighter keeping moving, preventing Pedrosa from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Japn Fighter dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fighter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Japn Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fighter misses with a right hand and Pedrosa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fighter's guard. Pedrosa stopping the sweep attempt from Fighter. Pedrosa postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pedrosa avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Pedrosa wants to control from the top but Fighter keeps moving. Fighter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pedrosa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Japn Fighter has got the better of the ground game so far. Pedrosa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fighter is keeping the position for now. Fighter throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pedrosa escapes and throws Fighter's legs to the side, diving into side control! Pedrosa trying to control the action but Fighter is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Fighter tries to roll over but Pedrosa keeps him under control. The fighters are battling for position here. Fighter manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pedrosa lands a couple of elbows. This has been an exciting period of action! Pedrosa passes Fighter's left leg - he's now in half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pedrosa in particular looking to stall. Fighter won't allow Pedrosa to pass to mount.

Pedrosa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fighter to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Pedrosa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fighter pulls down on the head and he's put Pedrosa to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Japn Fighter! Japn Fighter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
