The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terricloth circles away from the clinch attempt.
Terricloth throws a head kick that misses.
Gouveia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Terricloth's waist but Terricloth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gouveia off to one side.
Terricloth fails to land the takedown.
Gouveia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Terricloth pinned against the cage. Terricloth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gouveia moves to clinch but Terricloth breaks away
and Terricloth moves into the clinch.
Terricloth connects with a knee to the head.
Terricloth has Gouveia pressed against the cage.
Terricloth manages to break the clinch.
Gouveia shoots in for a takedown but Terricloth shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gouveia decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Terricloth shoots in but Gouveia avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gouveia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Terricloth sprawls well. Terricloth wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gouveia gets slowly back to his feet.

Terricloth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gouveia is fending him off so far but Terricloth persists. Nope, Gouveia circles away and we're back to standing.

Gouveia shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Terricloth as he avoids it easily.
Gouveia is trying hard to land a takedown here. Terricloth sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gouveia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Terricloth defends it nicely.
Gouveia is breathing heavily.
Gouveia gets tackled into the cage by Terricloth. Terricloth maintains the clinch.

Gouveia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Terricloth has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gouveia has managed to get both his arms back between Terricloth's legs - danger averted.
Terricloth wants to sweep here but Gouveia controlling him for the moment.
Gouveia drops back looking for a leg! Terricloth is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Terricloth manages to kick Gouveia off! Gouveia jumps back into Terricloth's guard.

Gouveia wants to control from the top but Terricloth keeps moving.
Gouveia wants to stand but Terricloth is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Terricloth is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gouveia is standing up over Terricloth. Terricloth looks to escape but Gouveia dives into side control.
Terricloth tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gouveia presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Terricloth will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Terricloth shoots in for a takedown but Gouveia shows good takedown defense.
Gouveia lands a big right hand that sends Terricloth crashing to the mat! Gouveia stays standing though and waves Terricloth back to his feet!
Terricloth is rocked!
It looks like Jack Terricloth has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gouveia fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gouveia throws a sloppy head kick and Terricloth moves out of range easily.
Terricloth looks up at the clock. Bad move! Gouveia lands a right hand from hell, dropping Terricloth. Gouveia pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Louis Gouveia!
