Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luka Vidak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vidak clinches.
Vidak is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ruiz is defending well.
Vidak has Ruiz pressed against the cage, preventing Ruiz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Vidak will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ruiz up against the cage.
Ruiz is trying to push Vidak away but Vidak has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ruiz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Vidak gets control of Ruiz's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vidak will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vidak goes for a double leg but Ruiz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ruiz continues to drive forward.
Vidak has Ruiz pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vidak pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ruiz tumbling to the mat - Vidak dives into Ruiz's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ruiz throws a hook to the side of Vidak's head but Vidak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Leo Ruiz seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Vidak lands with an uppercut that bounces Ruiz off the cage and back into range.

Ruiz lands a left and a right that send Vidak crashing to the mat, dazed. Ruiz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruiz measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Vidak! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
