PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Halling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gideon Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frost comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kung Fu Fighting kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Glenn Halling has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Glenn Halling seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost shoots in but no luck this time.
Halling throws a big shot that misses.
Halling motions for Frost to come forward. Halling throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Halling tries to clinch but Frost moves out of range.
Frost swats away the attempt to clinch by Halling.

Frost drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frost thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Halling stops Frost from passing to mount.
The strikes coming from Frost are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Halling on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Halling tries to get out of the position.
Halling is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Halling defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Frost's arms.

Frost has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Halling has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Halling is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Frost gets his way!

Halling tries to close the distance and clinch but Frost swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Frost shoots in and bounces Halling off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Frost decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Halling, up you get!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Frost closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Halling is looking to control Frost's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Halling avoid being mounted?

Frost seems to be looking for submissions.
Halling wants to get back to his feet.
Frost is controlling the pace.

Frost seems to be working for a kimura but Halling defends the submission attempt.

Frost is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Halling is trying to control but can't.

Halling is not content to let Frost control the position.
Frost uses his free foot to push down on Halling's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Halling.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Frost moves into range and clinches up with Halling.
Frost tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Halling just stands there and leans against the cage.

Halling breaks from the clinch.
Frost tries for a takedown but Halling circles away easily

and Halling counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Frost is looking for a triangle but Halling pushes his legs off easily.
Halling showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Halling has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Frost manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Halling is squirming around, avoiding Frost's attempts to control the action.

Frost is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Halling is surviving well by controlling Frost's body position as best he can.

Halling has left one of his arms exposed and Frost doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Halling screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
