Cruz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, CALIFORNIA LOVE by Tupac ft. Dr. Dre. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Cruz.
A combination from Cruz does no damage.
Ryan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like TJ Ryan has been cut.
Cruz misses with a two punch combination.

Cruz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ryan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Cruz drops back looking for a leg! Ryan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ryan manages to kick Cruz off! Cruz jumps back into Ryan's guard.

Cruz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Cruz seems to have locked his on tight now - Ryan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cruz, as he picks up the win!

Gabriel Cruz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
