Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Bennet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Peppers! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Bennet! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennet staying out of range there. Bennet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Peppers, pushing him back against the cage. Peppers prevents the takedown attempt.
Peppers gets underhooks to prevent Bennet's takedown attempt.
Bennet wants a takedown but no success here.
William Peppers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bennet. Bennet breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Peppers goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Bennet is on top in guard.
Peppers is breathing heavily. Bennet avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bennet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bennet tries to free his leg and advance position but Peppers is retaining full guard. Bennet tries to stand but Peppers is controlling from the bottom. Bennet with a nice head shot there. Peppers is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bennet is looking for a sweep. Peppers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Peppers prevents Bennet from improving his position. Peppers is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bennet is just riding it out for now. Peppers eventually gives up the hold.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bennet wants to get back to full guard. Bennet wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peppers looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Peppers looks to throw the jab but Bennet is out of range. Peppers stuffs the takedown. Bennet drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bennet content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that William Peppers will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Peppers forces Bennet back against the cage and clinches. Bennet is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Peppers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Peppers drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bennet has picked Peppers up - he's going for a ride! Bennet dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peppers is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bennet tries to pass to full mount but Peppers defends it. Peppers avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bennet. Bennet slips a nice elbow through Peppers's hands, connecting with Peppers's forehead. Bennet wants to take a breather but Peppers is having none of it. Bennet prevents Peppers from improving his position. Peppers is refusing to be controlled, as Bennet sits in half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bennet tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Peppers swivels and escapes. Bennet looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Peppers looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peppers is refusing to be controlled, as Bennet sits in half guard. Peppers won't allow Bennet to pass to mount. Peppers makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Peppers. Bennet tries to free his leg and advance position but Peppers is retaining full guard. Peppers has his foot on Bennet's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bennet works his way back into a safe position though. Peppers is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bennet preventing the sweep. Bennet wants to get up but he can't break Peppers's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peppers wants to sweep but no luck. Bennet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peppers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Peppers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Bennet fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. William Peppers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bennet. A right-left combo lands from Bennet. Peppers with a poor takedown and Bennet counters with a left to the body. Danga de danga de dang - Bennet scores with a four punch combination! Peppers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Peppers wants to get back to full guard. Bennet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peppers keeps working. Peppers looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bennet seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bennet is keen to just control but Peppers is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Bennet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Peppers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Bennet shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peppers's guard. Bennet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Peppers works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Peppers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bennet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bennet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bennet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bennet stands and steps away. Peppers gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Peppers takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Peppers won't allow Bennet to sweep him here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bennet is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Peppers is looking for a sweep. Bennet is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bennet sitting and controlling from the half guard. Bennet is nestled in close to Peppers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Peppers tries to get to full guard but Bennet has control of the leg. Bennet trying to control the action but Peppers is working from the bottom. Peppers wants to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bennet drives through and clinches with Peppers against the cage.
Bennet has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Peppers regains guard immediately.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bennet's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Peppers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bennet's guard. Peppers wants to control from the top but Bennet keeps moving. Bennet manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Peppers manages to get himself to full guard.
Bennet passes easily into side control. Nice work. Peppers is trying to get back to half guard. Peppers is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennet lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Peppers down.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bennet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bennet shoots in and drives through. Peppers sprawls well. Peppers drives through with a takedown into guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bennet can do anything to dispel that myth. Bennet is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! Charles Bennet comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bennet has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
