Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Mcnally! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Wiley! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wiley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wiley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mcnally working to try and regain half guard.
Wiley with shots to the head and body - Mcnally looks very uncomfortable down there. Mcnally really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mcnally wants to control but Wiley is having none of it. Mcnally keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Wiley with good strikes from the mount here! Mcnally is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wiley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mcnally looks a forlorn figure.
Wiley is landing with some decent strikes but Mcnally is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiley controlling the pace for now. Mcnally regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wiley scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mcnally is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wiley pulls his head out easily. Wiley lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Mcnally looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mcnally looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wiley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wiley works his way into full mount!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Wiley moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mcnally has worked his arm free - good work by Mcnally!
Wiley taking a break here but Mcnally is having none of it and regains half guard. Mcnally is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Wiley pulls his head out easily. Mcnally is breathing heavily. Wiley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Wiley is nestled in close to Mcnally, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wiley content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wiley is keen to just control but Mcnally is a slippery customer. Wiley trying to mount his opponent but Mcnally defends it. Wiley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcnally keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wiley trying to pass the guard but Mcnally defending well. Wiley prevents Mcnally from improving his position. Wiley passes to side control. Wiley trying to control the position but Mcnally is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mcnally blocks the body kick.
Wiley pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wiley with a body punch. A glancing blow. Mcnally gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wiley counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wiley forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Wiley dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Wiley looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mcnally being controlled here, momentarily. Mcnally is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mcnally looking for a guillotine here but Wiley defends easily.

Wiley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcnally does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mcnally trying to hold on to Wiley's head to control him but Wiley postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mcnally is looking to improve his position.
Wiley uses his free foot to push down on Mcnally's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mcnally. Wiley with the ground and pound from mount. Wiley with a couple of short strikes. Wiley looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Mcnally in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Wiley controlling from the full mount. Wiley dominating with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Wiley. Mcnally is squirming around, avoiding Wiley's attempts to control the action. Mcnally working to try and regain half guard.
Wiley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mcnally holds on for dear life, controlling Wiley's posture momentarily. Wiley landing strikes from the mount. Mcnally tries to lock up and control but Wiley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wiley breaks from Mcnally's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wiley dominating with strikes here. Mcnally regains half guard. Mark Wiley has got the better of the ground game so far. Mcnally is trying to maintain the position but Wiley is very close to passing his half guard. Wiley prevents Mcnally from improving his position. Wiley lands with a punch from half guard. Wiley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mcnally knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wiley working Mcnally over with strikes. Mcnally tries to get to full guard but Wiley has control of the leg. Wiley wants to pass to mount but Mcnally is defending the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Wiley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Mcnally doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wiley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mcnally's guard. Wiley connects with a couple of short punches. Mcnally has his foot on Wiley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wiley works his way back into a safe position though. Wiley lands a couple of digs. Mcnally has momentary wrist control but Wiley slips an elbow through the middle. Wiley wants to control from the top but Mcnally keeps moving. Mcnally is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wiley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wiley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wiley working some strikes from top position. Wiley postures up and lands a big shot to Mcnally's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiley stands and throws Mcnally's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wiley working away. Mcnally prevents Wiley from moving into mount. Wiley staying calm. Mcnally wants to control but Wiley postures up. Mcnally takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Wiley lands a decent elbow from side control. Wiley working the ground and pound from side control. Wiley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcnally keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wiley looks up at the clock and then as Mcnally takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Wiley smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Wiley landing a few strikes. Mcnally is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wiley's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Wiley is tying to control. Mcnally wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mcnally looking for submissions off his back. Wiley is pressing down on Mcnally's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mcnally is holding on for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wiley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mcnally is trying to maintain the position but Wiley is very close to passing his half guard. Wiley working over Mcnally with some ground and pound. Mcnally looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wiley prevents Mcnally from improving his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wiley swings for the body but Mcnally moves out of range.

Wiley throws out a leg kick but Mcnally moves out of range and Wiley only half commits. Wiley looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Wiley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mcnally's head. Jim Mcnally has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Wiley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wiley controls from within his opponent's guard. Wiley with a nice head shot there. Wiley is pushing down on Mcnally's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mcnally is fighting to maintain full guard but Wiley has managed to sneak the leg through. Wiley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Wiley is thwarting Mcnally's attempts to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Wiley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wiley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
