The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wakefield uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bolt.
Bolt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bolt trying to control the action but Wakefield is working from the bottom.
Bolt throws a strike aimed at the side of Wakefield's head but Wakefield avoids it well.
Wakefield parries the strikes from Bolt easily there. Bolt is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wakefield to escape.
Bolt is trying to ground and pound but Wakefield uses the momentary lack of control by Bolt to regain half guard.
Bolt throws a strike but Wakefield avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bolt is pushing down on Wakefield's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wakefield is fighting to maintain full guard but Bolt has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wakefield is staying active underneath Bolt, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bolt is just content to waste time from the top position. Wakefield takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wakefield throws a hook to the side of Bolt's head but Bolt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wakefield bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bolt's head backwards.

Bolt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wakefield keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Wakefield scores with a sloppy right hand. Bolt should have avoided that one.
Bolt is still on wobbly legs! Can Wakefield finish him?
Wakefield misses with a hook
and Bolt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bolt seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bolt throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bolt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bolt misses with a hook. Wakefield ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wakefield darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That's time! Wakefield's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wakefield shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bolt eats them both and turns towards Wakefield to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bolt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wakefield.
Wakefield thuds his right hand into Bolt's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wakefield throws a head kick that misses.
Wakefield rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bolt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wakefield misses with an uppercut.
It looks like Wakefield has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Wakefield dips to his left and cracks Bolt with an uppercut!
Bolt darts in and clinches Wakefield up against the cage.

Bolt wants to break free but Wakefield has control.
Bolt has Wakefield pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wakefield manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bolt is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Wakefield just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Bolt has gone limp and this one is over!

After the fight, Dean Wakefield was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
John Bolt spoke after the fight, saying 'I will comeback stronger, faster and tougher!'.
