Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jermain King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by VAMPIRE. Jin Kim has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jermain King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 32 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim dives in and grabs King's left leg, looking for a takedown. King pushes down on Kim's head and hops out. King's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and King duly obliges.
It looks like Jin Kim has been cut. King with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
King lands a nice looking body kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! King lands with a kick to the temple. Kim shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Kim feints and as King raises his hands in defense, Kim changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. King is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kim wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. King is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. King has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kim can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kim throwing strikes from guard but King blocks nicely. Kim stands up over King, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim preventing the sweep. Kim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kim looking to control the position here, rather than advance. King keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully. Kim loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kim works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim is looking for a kimura but King is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kim to get the leverage. King wants to improve his position but Kim is controlling well.

My spies in UMMA Gym Now with StandUP inform me that Kim has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! King is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kim pulls his head out easily. King gets full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Kim wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. Kim advances to half guard. Kim seems to be looking for submissions.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kim looking to pass the guard. King is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kim scores with a couple of nice shots. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. King tries to get to full guard but Kim has control of the leg.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. King looking for a guillotine here but Kim defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. King is keeping the position for now.
