Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandr Loshkarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denzel Kurt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denzel Kurt will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Denzel Kurt!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurt leaves Loshkarev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kurt looks to throw the jab but Loshkarev is out of range.

Kurt is looking to stand up but Loshkarev isn't so interested in that idea.
Kurt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loshkarev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kurt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Loshkarev off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Alexandr Loshkarev will probably get the nod.

Kurt should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kurt's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Kurt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Loshkarev controls the pace.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kurt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Loshkarev has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Kurt!

Loshkarev goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kurt is on top in guard.

Kurt has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Loshkarev is on him like a limpet, forcing Kurt back against the cage.

Denzel Kurt seems to be getting the better of the standup.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alexandr Loshkarev showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Loshkarev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
