The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tornado decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Simpson looking for submissions off his back.
Simpson wants to control but Tornado is keeping busy.
Tornado thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Simpson's head.
Simpson is trying to maintain the position but Tornado is very close to passing his half guard.
Simpson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tornado knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Simpson on the ground.
Tornado throwing strikes from guard but Simpson blocks nicely.
Tornado missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Simpson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tornado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Simpson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Simpson holds on and takes a little breather.
Tornado has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Tornado wants to control from the top but Simpson keeps moving.
Simpson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tornado not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Simpson wants to sweep here but Tornado controlling him for the moment.
Tornado loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Tornado trying to control the position from guard on top but Simpson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Simpson has his feet on Tornado's thighs here. He's pushed Tornado off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Tornado screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
