Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luke Kilpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Levy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kilpatrick comes to the cage accompanied by Gentleman. The crowd seem to be enjoying Levy's choice of entrance music: Ozzy Osbourne - mr.Crowley. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Levy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levy throws a good cross that connects.
Levy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice body punch from Levy.
Kilpatrick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kilpatrick scores with a nice strike.
Kilpatrick misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kilpatrick displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Levy throws out the jab.
Kilpatrick throws out a leg kick but Levy moves out of range and Kilpatrick only half commits.

Levy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kilpatrick, pushing him back against the cage.

Levy tries to break the clinch but Kilpatrick is controlling the position.
Kilpatrick tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kilpatrick tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Kilpatrick is looking to control Levy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kilpatrick avoid being mounted?

Kilpatrick is looking for a sweep. Levy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Levy seems to be working for a kimura but Kilpatrick defends the submission attempt.
Kilpatrick is pressing down on Levy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Levy postures up in Kilpatrick's guard and throws a big left but Kilpatrick blocks it.
Kilpatrick wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Levy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kilpatrick is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Levy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Levy throws a strike but Kilpatrick rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kilpatrick wants to control from the top but Levy keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Levy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kilpatrick is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Scott Levy will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Levy looks for a takedown but Kilpatrick sprawls well.

and Kilpatrick counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Kilpatrick throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Levy avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Levy moves out of range of the leg kick from Kilpatrick.
Levy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kilpatrick counters with an outside leg kick.
Levy misses with a looping right.
Levy throws the kick towards the body but Kilpatrick avoids it.
Levy connects with a leg kick. Kilpatrick looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Levy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kilpatrick's head backwards.
Levy dips to his left and cracks Kilpatrick with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Levy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kilpatrick.

Kilpatrick tries to land a leg kick but Levy saw it coming and moves away.

Levy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kilpatrick's waist but Kilpatrick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Levy off to one side.

Levy darts in looking for a takedown but Kilpatrick gets double underhooks and turns Levy into the cage.

Kilpatrick tries to land knees in the clinch but Levy avoids the damage to the body.

Levy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kilpatrick sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Levy has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kilpatrick.
Levy's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

The fighters circle, before Levy throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Kilpatrick's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Levy lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
