Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Garvey Huey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Garvey Huey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jeru The Damaja - You Can't Stop The Prophet (Pete Rock Remix). Holm is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Warriors Heart. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Lars Holm enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holm takes one to the chin there.
We've been told by Garvey Huey's head coaches at Green Line that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Holm throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garvey Huey's waist but Garvey Huey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holm off to one side.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Garvey Huey here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Holm has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Garvey Huey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Holm.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holm connects with a nice short shot to Garvey Huey's temple.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Malcolm Garvey Huey.
Well Garvey Huey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
