Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Petasse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelo Missani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antoine Petasse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Angelo Missani!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Missani closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Missani's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Missani has taken the fight to the clinch.

Missani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Petasse tries to score a power double leg takedown but Missani sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Petasse somewhat.

Petasse misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Petasse closes the distance and clinches up with Missani, looking for a takedown. Petasse pushes Missani against the cage but Missani circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Missani counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antoine Petasse. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Well, if Missani is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Missani has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Petasse off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Missani has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Petasse is trying to keep an underhook but Missani manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

You can see the frustration on Petasse's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Petasse wants to hold on but Missani pushes him away.

BOOM! Missani connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Missani cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Missani manages to capitalize on a mistake by Petasse to take his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Missani closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Missani really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petasse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Angelo Missani has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Petasse lands with a slapping head kick.

and Missani counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Missani stalling away here and it's allowed Petasse to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Missani must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Petasse is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Missani to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Missani shrugs it off.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Missani decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Petasse blocking the ground and pound attempt from Missani.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Petasse shoots in and drives through. Missani sprawls well.

Missani fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Petasse sprawls well initially but Missani persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Missani is taking a breather. Petasse says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
