Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Von Schwaben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Watt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonathan Von Schwaben! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Watt! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Von Schwaben looks for a takedown but Watt sprawls well. Nice takedown defense from Watt. No joy for Von Schwaben on that attempt. Watt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Von Schwaben. That's going to take a lot out of him. Watt shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Von Schwaben napping and manages to drive through into side control! Von Schwaben gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Watt trying to control from Von Schwaben's half guard. Von Schwaben has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Watt wants to control from the top but Von Schwaben keeps moving. That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Von Schwaben is pulling down on Watt's head. It's preventing any offense from Watt, at least for the moment.
Michael Watt has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Von Schwaben closes the distance and clinches. Von Schwaben ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Von Schwaben no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Watt manages to get himself to full guard.
Von Schwaben controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Von Schwaben throwing strikes but missing. Watt wants to get back to his feet but Von Schwaben is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Von Schwaben passes Watt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Von Schwaben prevents Watt from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben decides to stand up. Watt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Von Schwaben struggling a bit here. Watt wants to stand but Von Schwaben has his arm trapped. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. More blood and guts and stuff like that, in cinemas everywhere now! Von Schwaben sneaks out the side door and pushes Watt away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben moves out of range as Watt strikes. Von Schwaben looks for a takedown but Watt sprawls well. Watt gets a clinch. Von Schwaben jumps guard and drags Watt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Von Schwaben is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Watt presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Watt looking to slow down the pace here. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Von Schwaben. Watt manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Von Schwaben decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Watt slaps away a takedown attempt from Von Schwaben, before circling back to the center of the mat. Watt shoots in and bounces Von Schwaben off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Von Schwaben will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Watt rushes Von Schwaben and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Watt pulls guard effortlessly. Watt striking off his back but it's not causing Von Schwaben any problems. We've been informed that Watt has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Watt has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Von Schwaben is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Watt. Von Schwaben controls the position. Von Schwaben thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Von Schwaben gets to mount! Watt was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Von Schwaben is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Watt is in real trouble.
Von Schwaben has good solid back control here. Von Schwaben not allowing Watt to control his hands. Von Schwaben thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Von Schwaben punches the canvas rather than the man. Watt is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Von Schwaben gets his way!
Von Schwaben somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Von Schwaben has the hooks in. Watt is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Von Schwaben misses with punches from the back. Von Schwaben has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben is persistently looking for the submission but Watt is defending it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Watt has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Watt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Von Schwaben. Watt tries to land a front kick but Von Schwaben steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Watt scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Von Schwaben is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Watt working the strikes but Von Schwaben uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Watt is looking to pass Von Schwaben's guard but actually Von Schwaben recovers to full guard. Watt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Von Schwaben's guard. Jonathan Von Schwaben overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Von Schwaben looking for a sweep. Not yet Von Schwaben, not yet. Von Schwaben is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Von Schwaben has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Watt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Von Schwaben throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Von Schwaben escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Watt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Von Schwaben has his hands on Watt's head, controlling the position. Von Schwaben looking for a guillotine here but Watt defends easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Von Schwaben looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Von Schwaben has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Watt off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Watt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Von Schwaben manages to avoid it. Jonathan Von Schwaben is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Watt shoots in and bounces Von Schwaben off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Watt wants to stand and escape but instead Von Schwaben has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Von Schwaben stays in close to Watt's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Von Schwaben accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Von Schwaben stopping the sweep attempt from Watt. Watt trying to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jonathan Von Schwaben. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Von Schwaben, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
