The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Gianni on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Cruz throws a series of punches but Gianni avoids them all with ease.

Cruz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gianni.
Gianni seems to have recovered his senses.
Cruz rushes Gianni with punches - Gianni moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Gianni goes down! Cruz follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
