Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Monty Carlo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuba Wojcik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carlo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Give Life back to Music. Monty Carlo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Monty Carlo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kuba Wojcik! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wojcik lands a head kick!
Carlo shoots in but Wojcik avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wojcik throws a front kick that sends Carlo stumbling back into the cage. Wojcik has closed the distance and engaged Carlo in a clinch.
Carlo tries for a takedown but Wojcik manages to get underhooks.
Carlo prevents Wojcik from breaking the clinch. Wojcik looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Wojcik has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Wojcik wants to break free but Carlo has control.
A frustrated look appears on Wojcik's face as he tries to break the clinch. Wojcik wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wojcik tries to circle away but Carlo has him pinned against the cage. Wojcik prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Monty Carlo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wojcik throws an elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wojcik gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Carlo avoids the elbow strike from Wojcik, against the cage.
Carlo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wojcik's efforts to push away. Carlo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Carlo manages to end up in side control. Carlo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wojcik tries to buck Carlo off but Carlo is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlo trying to control the action but Wojcik is working from the bottom. Wojcik trying to remain calm as Carlo controls from the top position. Wojcik is looking to reverse the position. Wojcik is trying to control Carlo's posture but Carlo avoids it. Carlo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wojcik keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlo scores with punches from side control. Wojcik can't do much from the bottom here. Wojcik is not content to let Carlo control the position. Carlo working the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlo working away. Carlo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wojcik keeps working. Carlo is putting a hurting on Wojcik here, landing some big shots from side control. Wojcik wants to control but Carlo postures up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carlo takes a little break here. Wojcik wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Carlo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Monty Carlo will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Carlo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wojcik tries to avoid it but Carlo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wojcik to the ground. Wojcik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A jab from Carlo finds it's way through Wojcik's defenses. Carlo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wojcik avoids it really well and circles away. Carlo dives in and scores a takedown into Wojcik's guard. Wojcik is trying to control the position but Carlo postures up. Wojcik wants to control but Carlo passes easily into half guard.
Carlo moves nicely into side control. Carlo working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlo has control of an arm but Wojcik manages to advance to Carlo's back! Wojcik lands a shot to the head. Carlo breaks Wojcik's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Carlo tries to free his leg and advance position but Wojcik is retaining full guard. Carlo working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Wojcik keeping full guard, as Carlo tries to pass. Wojcik wants to stand up but Carlo is controlling him. Wojcik is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlo advances to half guard. Monty Carlo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carlo is looking to take a break and control but Wojcik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wojcik wants to control but Carlo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wojcik trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Wojcik tries to lock up and control but Carlo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Carlo working the ground and pound effectively.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlo breaks from Wojcik's wrist control and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carlo looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Wojcik is rocked! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wojcik has left one of his arms exposed and Carlo doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Wojcik screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Monty Carlo! Our winner, Monty Carlo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
