The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cachacinha tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Carvalho is in Cachacinha's guard.
Carvalho looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cachacinha holds on and takes a little breather.
Cachacinha is looking to stand up but Carvalho isn't so interested in that idea.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cachacinha is on top in guard.

Cachacinha is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carvalho to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carvalho shrugs it off.
