Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Holden James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Ijima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by Aerials. Ijima has chosen Alphabetical #1 - Karera Musication as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
James has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ωmega Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Ijima shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says James as he avoids it easily.
Ichi Ijima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
James thuds his shin into the meat of Ijima's side.
Ijima fails with the takedown.
Ijima fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Holden James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichi Ijima.
Ijima shoots in looking for a takedown but James manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ijima's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ijima changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James tries to avoid it but Ijima manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James to the ground. James escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ijima throws a hook but James avoids it easily.
James displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ijima.
James throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
James misses with a low kick.

James throws a solid leg kick but Ijima takes the impact on his shin and smiles at James.
James finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ijima fails to land the takedown.
Holden James is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

James keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
James stuffs the takedown attempt from Ijima. Ijima gets slowly back to his feet.

and James counters with a thumping low kick.
Ijima slips a jab and a cross from James.

Ijima will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

James stuffs the takedown attempt from Ijima. Ijima gets slowly back to his feet.
James lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ijima's sensitive parts.
James thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ijima if he has to take too many more of those.
Ijima takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ijima has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from James.
James misses with a hook.

Ijima shoots in and drives through. James sprawls well.
James tries to land a leg kick but Ijima saw it coming and moves away.

Ijima shoots for a double leg takedown but James sprawls well. He's pushed Ijima's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ijima misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
James stuffs the takedown.

Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Ijima on that attempt.

James misses with a wild combination.
Ijima tries for a takedown but James sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
James lands a big head kick that sends Ijima tumbling to the mat! James takes a step backwards and waves Ijima back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ijima is rocked!
It looks like Ichi Ijima has been cut.
James throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ijima is still on wobbly legs! Can James finish him?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

James cracks Ijima with a left hook right on the temple and Ijima goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! James lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Ijima is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Holden James!
A less than humble Holden James misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
