Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, JJ Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leto Savish!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thomas is defended easily by Savish.
Savish has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Savish lands a lovely overhand right.
Savish looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.
A punch combination from Thomas misses.
Thomas fails to land with a series of punches.
Thomas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Thomas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Savish was covering up waiting for the punch and Thomas finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savish keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully.
Savish keeping full guard, as Thomas tries to pass.

Thomas has gone for a leg lock! Savish slips out almost immediately though and dives into Thomas's guard.

Thomas looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Savish wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving.
Thomas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Savish.

Thomas is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Savish rolls with it to try and escape but Thomas cranks on the arm and Savish is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
