Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chase Ries (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Vasilyevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Vasilyevich's choice of entrance music: Billy Connolly - Ivan the terrible. Ivan Vasilyevich is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Vasilyevich!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasilyevich scores with a shot to the body.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Chase Ries seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ries misses with a takedown attempt - Vasilyevich sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ries gets the takedown into side control.
Vasilyevich tries to buck Ries off but Ries is having none of it.

Vasilyevich tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ries manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Ries shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vasilyevich as he avoids it easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ries, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
