Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartek Pietrzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tyler might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Solonen ja Kosola - RÄPPII . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rex Tyler!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bartek Pietrzak!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pietrzak misses with a hook to the body

and Tyler counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pietrzak works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pietrzak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tyler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pietrzak looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Tyler is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Wax on Wax off 'Dojo that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Tyler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pietrzak is trying to keep Tyler in close.
Tyler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tyler has gone for a leg lock! Pietrzak slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tyler's guard.

Tyler throws his legs up looking for a submission but Pietrzak uses it to pass to side control.
Pietrzak advances to mount.
Tyler manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Tyler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Pietrzak thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Pietrzak is trying to control. Tyler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Tyler wants to get back to full guard.

Tyler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Pietrzak is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tyler is pressing down on Pietrzak's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Tyler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pietrzak is one step ahead there.
Pietrzak pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tyler is keeping the position for now.

Pietrzak postures up and lands a big shot to Tyler's brow.
Tyler working a defensive guard but Pietrzak passes into half guard.
Tyler manages to get to full guard.
Pietrzak trying to control the position from guard on top but Tyler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyler wants to hit a switch here but Pietrzak passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tyler there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rex Tyler dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Pietrzak misses with a hook. Tyler ducked under it nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pietrzak. Tyler does a little dance to reset his feet.

Pietrzak shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tyler is staying active underneath Pietrzak, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tyler is looking to control Pietrzak's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tyler avoid being mounted?
Tyler tries to roll over but Pietrzak keeps him under control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pietrzak tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tyler knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pietrzak passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tyler!
Tyler tries to hold on but Pietrzak postures up.
Tyler is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pietrzak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyler is looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pietrzak is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Pietrzak lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Tyler gets back to half guard.
Tyler won't allow Pietrzak to pass to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pietrzak trying to control the action but Tyler is working from the bottom.
Tyler controlling the position for now.
Pietrzak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tyler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pietrzak scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Tyler is trying to get back to full guard.
Tyler is in trouble now - Pietrzak has advanced to mount!
Pietrzak throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
BOOM! Pietrzak connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Oh Tyler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pietrzak looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Tyler covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bartek Pietrzak!
