Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Gannicus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr takes a swing at Gannicus's ribcage but misses.
Jr misses with a body shot.
Nice shot lands for Jr.
Gannicus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gannicus looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jr ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gannicus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jr jabs Gannicus to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jr scores with a hook to the body. Gannicus takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Both fighters circling a little - Gannicus finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Jr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gannicus moves away.

Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gannicus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Jr fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gannicus on the side of the head.
Gannicus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Jr throws a hook but Gannicus avoids it easily.
Gannicus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gannicus throws a sloppy head kick and Jr moves out of range easily.
Jr is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Gannicus rather than just go for the knockout.
Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gannicus.
Gannicus tries to land a front kick but Jr steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Gannicus is looking to control Jr's arms but Jr gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gannicus has his back to the cage.

Gannicus blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Gannicus swings wildly with an uppercut but Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gannicus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jr walks away with a smile on his face. Gannicus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Gannicus is just out of range.
Gannicus lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gannicus bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Gannicus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jr is looking to clinch but Gannicus is avoiding it.
Jr throws out a powerful jab.
John Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gannicus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jr.
Jr looks winded!

Jr scores with a hook to the body. Gannicus takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gannicus doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gannicus lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jr will feel that in the morning.
Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jr has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Gannicus.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but John Jr will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jr sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jr wants to stand and escape but Gannicus is having none of it.

Jr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gannicus passes Jr's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Gannicus throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Gannicus is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jr!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gannicus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gannicus fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Gannicus is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Gannicus!
