Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Truman Ivey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Mic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ken Mic enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Truman Ivey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Mic!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mic avoids it really well and circles away.
Ivey is looking to clinch.
Ivey misses with a body kick.

Mic clinches with his opponent.
Ivey fails to pull guard.
Mic fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ivey can't break the clinch.
Ivey has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mic after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Truman Ivey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mic lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ivey backwards.
Mic gets underhooks to prevent Ivey's takedown attempt.
Ivey tries to break free but Mic pushes him back against the cage.

We've been hearing reports that Ivey has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Mic is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ivey is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Mic to the mat. Mic regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Ivey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ivey tries to get out of the position.

Mic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ivey works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ivey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ivey is on top in guard.

Ivey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mic's guard.
Ivey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ivey wants to pass to mount but Mic is defending the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Mic throws a body kick that misses.
Mic waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ivey.
Mic lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ivey shoots in for a takedown but Mic shows good takedown defense.
Mic closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The crowd cheers as Mic lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ivey doesn't seem phased though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horrible takedown by Ivey or perhaps it was just good defense by Mic which made him look bad.

Mic scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ivey in his tracks.

Ivey feints and as Mic raises his hands in defense, Ivey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mic wants to get back to his feet but Ivey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Truman Ivey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ivey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Truman Ivey has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Ivey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mic's half guard.
Ivey wants to take a breather but Mic is having none of it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

We're going to have a standup here because Truman Ivey wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
A combination from Mic does no damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mic.

and Ivey counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Truman Ivey will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ivey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mic defends it nicely.
Truman Ivey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ivey closes the distance and pushes Mic back into the cage.
Ivey has Mic pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mic manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Mic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ivey is controlling him.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Truman Ivey.

Ivey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ivey showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mic is trying to stand.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Truman Ivey wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Ivey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ivey shoots in but no luck this time.
Ken Mic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mic gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ivey drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mic gets the underhooks and prevents it.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mic creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ivey drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mic pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mic connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Mic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ivey's head.
Ivey fails with a takedown attempt.

Mic scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mic bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ivey shoots in looking for a takedown but Mic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ivey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ken Mic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Truman Ivey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ivey on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
