Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wendel Silveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Brigado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wendel Silveira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joao Brigado! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silveira shoots in looking for a takedown but Brigado manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silveira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nice sprawl there from Silveira as Brigado shoots in. Brigado gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Brigado has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silveira uses from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Brigado looking for a sweep. Not yet Brigado, not yet. Silveira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brigado's guard. Silveira is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Brigado defends it well. Brigado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brigado is not content to let Silveira control the position. Brigado won't allow Silveira to pass to mount. Silveira is trying to control. Brigado wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Silveira is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silveira is trying to control the action in half guard but Brigado is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Silveira is pressing down on Brigado's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brigado is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brigado is refusing to be controlled, as Silveira sits in half guard. Brigado trying to control but Silveira postures up.
Brigado tries to kick Silveira off but Silveira keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silveira trying to control the action but Brigado is working from the bottom. Silveira is working for a kimura but Brigado is defending it quite comfortably.
Brigado is not content to let Silveira control the position. Silveira prevents Brigado from improving his position. Silveira is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brigado has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silveira wants to work for an arm triangle but Brigado is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Silveira is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Silveira tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brigado controls his leg. Brigado is concentrating on defense, preventing Silveira from advancing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silveira uses his free foot to push down on Brigado's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Brigado. Silveira is trying to take his opponent's back.
Silveira avoids the attempt from Brigado to control. Silveira is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brigado is surviving well by controlling Silveira's body position as best he can. Silveira trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silveira is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brigado can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Wendel Silveira dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Brigado shoots in but Silveira avoids the takedown attempt easily. Silveira looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Silveira trying to control but Brigado is working from the bottom. Silveira is looking to stand up but Brigado won't let him. Brigado managing to control the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Brigado manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brigado wants to get back to striking at distance but Silveira won't allow it.
Silveira is trying to drag Brigado to the mat but Brigado just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Brigado pulls guard. Silveira drops back, looking for a kneebar! Brigado looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Brigado looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Brigado! Brigado decides to stand back up. Brigado steps back and let's Silveira get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brigado stuffs the takedown attempt from Silveira. Silveira gets slowly back to his feet. Silveira displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brigado. Brigado is breathing heavily. Brigado shoots in looking for a takedown. Silveira tries to sprawl out of it but Brigado keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silveira manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wendel Silveira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joao Brigado. Silveira darts in looking for a takedown but Brigado gets double underhooks and turns Silveira into the cage. Silveira tries for a takedown. No joy.
Brigado tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silveira smiles and moves away.
Silveira blocks a head kick by Brigado.
Brigado throws a sloppy head kick and Silveira counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brigado throws a head kick that misses. Silveira looks for a takedown but Brigado sprawls well. Brigado throws the kick towards the body but Silveira avoids it. Brigado throws a sloppy head kick and Silveira moves out of range easily. Silveira looks for the body kick but Brigado saw that one coming. Wendel Silveira is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A lazy body kick from Brigado and Silveira counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brigado is lucky that one didn't land flush. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silveira. Brigado throws a head kick that misses. A nice leg kick lands there from Silveira. Silveira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brigado circles away. Silveira fails with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brigado throws a body kick that misses. Brigado avoids the head kick by Silveira.
Joao Brigado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brigado misses with the body kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Silveira dives in and grabs Brigado's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brigado pushes down on Silveira's head and hops out. Silveira lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brigado's sensitive parts. Brigado scores with a head kick.
Silveira looks for a takedown but Brigado sprawls well. Brigado moves into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silveira wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Brigado jumps into guard, dragging Silveira to the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Joao Brigado will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Silveira shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brigado defends it nicely. Brigado misses with a head kick.
Brigado shoots in but no luck this time. No luck for Brigado with that takedown attempt. Silveira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brigado circles away. A kick lands to the mid section there for Brigado. Brigado tries to clinch up but Silveira circles away and keeps his distance. Brigado fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silveira avoids it really well and circles away. Wendel Silveira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joao Brigado. Brigado takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Silveira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brigado takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Brigado tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silveira is looking to land body kicks. Silveira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Brigado stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brigado wants it to stay on the feet. Silveira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brigado as he jumps to the side. Brigado with a poor takedown and Silveira counters with a good low kick that Brigado was not able to check. Silveira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brigado swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silveira blocks a head kick by Brigado.
Silveira shoots in for a double leg but Brigado sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brigado clinches up against the cage. Brigado is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Silveira to keep the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silveira wants a takedown.
Brigado manages to break the clinch.
Brigado shoots for a takedown but Silveira saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Silveira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brigado swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silveira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Silveira motions for Brigado to come forward. Silveira throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Silveira takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wendel Silveira is winning the standup battle so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silveira walks into a jab. Silveira shoots in for a double leg but Brigado sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Brigado delivers a nice body kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silveira. Brigado rushes Silveira and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silveira is working for takedown but Brigado is calmly controlling the position for now. Brigado escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brigado clinches up with Silveira and pushes him back against the cage. Silveira tries to pull guard but Brigado forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Brigado pulls guard effortlessly. Silveira wants to control from the top but Brigado keeps moving. Brigado is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silveira is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silveira stands and throws Brigado's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silveira has hold of Brigado's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Brigado tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Silveira cranks the arm and Brigado screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brigado, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Wendel Silveira!
