Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rafael Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan McClelland!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to clinch.
Silva tries to clinch up.
McClelland has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Silva is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Rafael Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries to clinch up
and McClelland counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Silva clinches up with McClelland and pushes him back against the ropes.
McClelland blocks a body shot from Silva.
Silva cracks McClelland with a nice body shot.
McClelland tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the ropes and eventually McClelland drops back down to his feet.
Silva scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Silva makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Silva lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

McClelland manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
McClelland has a closed guard, preventing Silva from standing up.

McClelland working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McClelland is proving hard to escape from.
Silva cracks McClelland with a solid left hand.

McClelland is looking to cinch up a triangle. Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to McClelland's body to avoid the submission. McClelland has instead reached around Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! McClelland arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
