The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jackson moves out of range of the strikes. Jackson gets a double leg takedown into Redban's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Jackson postures up.
Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Redban's head. Jackson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jackson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jackson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Redban is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Redban is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Jackson is holding on to half guard well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redban tries to pass to full mount but Jackson defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Redban is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position. Jackson trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is in trouble now - Redban has advanced to mount! Jackson is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Redban is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Redban!
