Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjorn Helgi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doc Holliday! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Helgi scores with a jab to the head.
Helgi throws a body kick that misses. Holliday misses with a hook to the body
and Helgi counters with a big head kick but Holliday shrugs it off. Helgi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Holliday avoids the body shot from Helgi.
Helgi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Holliday to score with a decent uppercut. Holliday cracks Helgi with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Doc Holliday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Holliday ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Helgi moves away. Helgi throws a sloppy head kick and Holliday counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Helgi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Holliday's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Holliday's back! Holliday tries to roll but Helgi sticks to his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Holliday felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Helgi is hanging on to Holliday's back as he tries to escape.
Helgi has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helgi tries to get the hooks in deep but Holliday pushed the leg off. Helgi softening up his opponent with strikes here.

Holliday rolls, trying to escape but Helgi keeps control of the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Holliday manages to reverse the position and now he's in Helgi's guard. Nice work there by Holliday.
Holliday throws a strike but Helgi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Holliday looking for a guillotine here but Helgi defends easily.
Helgi tries to free his leg and advance position but Holliday is retaining full guard. Helgi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Holliday has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Helgi is looking to defend but Holliday has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Helgi! Holliday pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Helgi taps out and this one is all over!
