3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Price! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price closes the distance and clinches. Price digs a right hand into Faber's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Faber's gas tank. A hook to the body from Price.
A short right from Price. Faber tries for a takedown. No joy.
Price scores with a hook to the body. Price cracks Faber with a nice body shot. A nice left hand lands by Price.

A looping hook to the body misses from Faber. Price does a little dance to reset his feet. Faber swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Price has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile. Faber is trying to drag Price to the mat but Price just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Price lands on the inside with an uppercut. Price doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Price wants to improve his position but instead Faber has moved into half guard.

Price controlling the position well. Faber trying to control from half guard but Price is working away. Faber is thwarting Price's attempts to control the position. Faber uses his free foot to push down on Price's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Price. Faber wants to control the pace but Price is squirming around nicely. Faber punching from mount but Price doing a good job of avoiding damage. Price really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Faber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Faber looking to secure an arm triangle but Price defends it well.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Price can do anything to dispel that myth. Price is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Faber working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Faber misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Price tries to hold on but Faber pushes him away. Faber lands a heavy elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Faber trying to control but Price is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Price takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Price wants to hold on but Faber pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dan Price will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Price enables Faber to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Price manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Price avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Price preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Faber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Faber postures up and lands a big shot to Price's brow. Faber trying to control but Price is working from the bottom. Faber pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Price is keeping the position for now. Urijah Faber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Faber drops back looking for a leg! Price is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Price manages to kick Faber off! Faber jumps back into Price's guard. Faber drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Faber jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Faber postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Price has his hands on Faber's head, controlling the position. Faber postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Faber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Price swivels though and keeps the full guard. Price utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Price trying to control the position.
Price keeping moving, preventing Faber from controlling successfully. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Faber preventing the sweep. Price controls Faber momentarily but Faber frees himself. Faber wants to pass the guard but Price is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Price is adopting a defensive guard.
Dan Price has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Price tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Faber has a takedown stuffed. Price moves into range and clinches up with Faber. A shot in the inside from Price. Faber is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Price lands with a light punch inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Price lands a left hand that snaps the head of Faber backwards. Faber wants to break the clinch but can't.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Price lands with a short head shot on the inside. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Price creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Good body shot from Price.

A close second round but Dan Price will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Price tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Faber manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Price stuffs the takedown attempt from Faber. Faber gets slowly back to his feet. Price displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Faber.

Price lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Price lands on the inside with an uppercut. Faber drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Faber is pressing down on Price's thigh, looking to free his foot. Price is holding on for now. Faber seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Faber is thwarting Price's attempts to control the position. Faber wants to control but Price is keeping him busy. Price tries to roll over but Faber keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Faber shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Price pinned against the cage. Price gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Price tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Faber tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Price swivels and escapes. The fight stays on the outside here - Price looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Faber circles away from the clinch attempt.
Faber shoots in looking for a takedown but Price manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Faber's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Faber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Price but Price pushes him off and we're back to square one. Price has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Faber's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Urijah Faber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Price lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Price comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Price winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
