Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edson Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fabricio Carvalho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edson Garcia! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Carvalho looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Carvalho throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Carvalho is trying to control. Garcia wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Garcia can do anything to dispel that myth. Carvalho is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Carvalho is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Garcia is just riding it out for now. Carvalho eventually gives up the hold. Carvalho throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carvalho. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carvalho looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Garcia is refusing to be controlled, as Carvalho sits in half guard. Carvalho wants to work for an arm triangle but Garcia is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garcia pushes Carvalho off looking to stand but Carvalho dives back in and keeps control.
Carvalho throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Carvalho has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carvalho not doing much here.
Carvalho looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Carvalho trying to mount his opponent but Garcia defends it. Carvalho is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Garcia is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Carvalho working away from the top, dropping strikes. Carvalho has control of Garcia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Garcia regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Carvalho is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Garcia can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carvalho looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carvalho unloads with some shots from mount but Garcia bucks and avoids them well.
Carvalho looking to control but Garcia is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carvalho has control of Garcia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Garcia regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fabricio Carvalho dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Carvalho drives through with a takedown into guard. Garcia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carvalho passes into half guard. Fabricio Carvalho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carvalho is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Garcia has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho trying to control the pace. Carvalho is looking to take a break and control but Garcia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carvalho sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Garcia defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Garcia is trying to stand.
Carvalho winds up and cracks Garcia with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Carvalho wants to control but Garcia is keeping him busy. Carvalho not landing any meaningful shots this time. Garcia is staying active underneath Carvalho, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fabricio Carvalho has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Carvalho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Garcia moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carvalho scores with a takedown into Garcia's guard. Carvalho is standing up over Garcia. Garcia looks to escape but Carvalho dives into side control.
Carvalho tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Carvalho wants to control but Garcia is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carvalho cracks Garcia with a big right hand but Garcia just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Carvalho working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Carvalho wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Garcia, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fabricio Carvalho dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Garcia gets caught napping as Carvalho dives in and scores a takedown. Garcia manages to retain guard. Carvalho with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Carvalho is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Garcia can do to turn this around? Carvalho thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Carvalho wants to control from the top but Garcia keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carvalho tries to free his leg and advance position but Garcia is retaining full guard. Garcia is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Carvalho controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Fabricio Carvalho just wasn't active enough. Carvalho shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carvalho is trying to control the action in half guard but Garcia is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia wants to get back to his feet. Carvalho is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Carvalho wants to pass the guard but Garcia is defending well. Carvalho keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Carvalho is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carvalho stops Garcia from getting back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! Fabricio Carvalho showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carvalho has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
