The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bartholemeaux takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Faber is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bartholemeaux.
Bartholemeaux throws a jab but it's blocked by Faber.
Some wild striking there from Faber.
Faber looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gabe Faber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bartholemeaux blocks a jab.
A thudding body kick lands there by Faber!
Faber tries to clinch up.
Faber does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Faber tries to clinch but Bartholemeaux is having none of it.
Bartholemeaux takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Kingston Bartholemeaux has been cut.
Donk. Bartholemeaux catches Faber right on the button with a cross.

Faber connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Faber throws a lazy body kick
and Bartholemeaux connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bartholemeaux dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Faber attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Bartholemeaux lands a right hook to the body.
Faber connects with a solid leg kick.
Bartholemeaux tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bartholemeaux throws a good cross that connects.
Faber blocks a head kick by Bartholemeaux.
Bartholemeaux needs to keep his hands up - Faber had a free shot at his head there.
Bartholemeaux blocks a low kick nicely.
Bartholemeaux takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bartholemeaux catches Faber with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Faber tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Faber fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bartholemeaux has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Faber throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Bartholemeaux moves in looking to clinch but Faber pushes him off.
Faber throws out a powerful jab.
Bartholemeaux drops Faber with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Faber! Bartholemeaux dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
