The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slone slips a straight right by Ianuzzi.
Slone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Slone misses with a takedown attempt
and Ianuzzi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ianuzzi throws the left hand but Slone avoids the punch easily.
Slone with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ianuzzi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Slone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ianuzzi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ianuzzi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slone is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ianuzzi frees his head nicely. Oh but Slone has switched to an armbar! Ianuzzi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
