Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Obasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itor Lamope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obasi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Overkill. Lamope has chosen Bulletproof as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamope scores with a leg kick.
Obasi slips a straight right by Lamope.
Obasi cracks Lamope with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A bone on bone clash there as Obasi blocks the leg kick.
Obasi feints and then cracks Lamope's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lamope down.
Obasi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lamope lands with a nice body kick.
Good leg kick by Lamope there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Obasi shoots for a double leg takedown but Lamope sprawls well. He's pushed Obasi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lamope swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Obasi throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Lamope throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Solomon Obasi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obasi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lamope checks it well.
Lamope lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lamope takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lamope thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Obasi if he has to take too many more of those.

Obasi is pushing down on Lamope's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lamope is fighting to maintain full guard but Obasi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Lamope has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Obasi is working away from the top position though.
Lamope is looking for a sweep. Obasi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lamope won't allow Obasi to pass to mount.
Lamope is looking to control Obasi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lamope avoid being mounted?

Lamope is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Lamope has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Demon's stand up gym, LOP. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Lamope lands a couple of elbows.
Obasi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lamope is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Obasi.
Obasi is not content to let Lamope control the position.

Lamope lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Lamope lands an elbow.
Lamope working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Lamope looks up at the clock and then as Obasi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lamope smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Obasi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Lamope is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Lamope has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Obasi sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lamope wants to take a breather but Obasi is having none of it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Itor Lamope is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Itor Lamope comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lamope winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
