Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Marciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William comes to the cage accompanied by Outlaw's Reward . The crowd seem to be enjoying Marciano's choice of entrance music: Kid Charlemagne. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, James William!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocky Marciano!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marciano on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by William. William obviously looking to wear him down.
William scores with a nice body kick.

William swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marciano counters with a thumping low kick.
Marciano has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Marciano dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on William. That did some damage!
Nice uppercut lands for William. That snapped Marciano's head back.
William throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

James William seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Marciano throws a wild body kick that William sees coming a mile off.
William cracks Marciano with a good jab.
Marciano gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

William closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Marciano wants to control but William is keeping busy.
Marciano is not content to let William control the position.
Marciano wants to get back to full guard.

William is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marciano is just riding it out for now. William eventually gives up the hold.

Marciano might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control William haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
William thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Marciano is looking to control William's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marciano avoid being mounted?
Marciano is looking for a sweep. William is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

William is working for a submission of some sort.

Marciano won't allow William to pass to mount.
Marciano makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marciano.
William postures up in Marciano's guard and throws a big left but Marciano blocks it.
Marciano controls William momentarily but William frees himself.
Marciano has William pulled in close to control his posture.

William with a flurry of punches that miss.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rocky Marciano.
Marciano cracks William with a good jab.
William feints and then cracks Marciano's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marciano down.
William lands with a straight right. Marciano didn't see that one coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marciano throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
William throws a good cross that connects.
William tries to land a front kick but Marciano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
William throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marciano sees it coming and avoids it easily.
William cracks Marciano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
William looks to throw the jab but Marciano is out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marciano digs a good hook to William's body.
The fighters circling - Marciano throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
William will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Marciano finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
William throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
William dives in for a single leg takedown but Marciano sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Marciano comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
William lands a nice uppercut.
Marciano struggles to land a body shot inside as William controls his hands.
William blocks a punch to the side of the head.

William has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Marciano keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Marciano is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but William pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

William throws a hook to the side of Marciano's head but Marciano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

William is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marciano.

William throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Marciano has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from William.
Marciano takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

William shoots in and drives through. Marciano sprawls well.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from William lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marciano has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marciano and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
William pivots, looking for a leg kick but Marciano is out of range and William settles back down.

William shoots in and gets a takedown into Marciano's guard.

William is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Marciano defends it well.

William wants to free his trapped foot but Marciano is holding on for dear life with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

James William showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for William, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
