Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josepha Caron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caron comes to the cage accompanied by Gros Jambon. Gunnar Nelson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josepha Caron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Nelson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Nelson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Nelson. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nelson. Nelson misses the shot to the body. Nelson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Caron.
Caron staying out of range there. Caron fails with an attempt to clinch.
Caron connects with a leg kick. Nelson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Nelson throws a low kick but Caron moves out of range easily. Nelson digs a good body shot into Caron's ribs. Caron fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nelson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Caron pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nelson misses the shot to the body. Nelson swats away the attempt to clinch by Caron.
Nelson instigates a clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nelson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Caron tries to clinch up. Caron scores with a one two! Nelson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Caron tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Caron slaps away a takedown attempt from Nelson, before circling back to the center of the mat. A left lands for Nelson. Caron throws a head kick that misses and Nelson counters with a left and a right that stings Caron. Nelson scores with a nice body kick.
Nelson drives through and clinches with Caron against the cage.
Nelson lands with a left to the head. Caron tries a body shot but Nelson blocks it.
Nelson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Caron escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Caron throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nelson slips a jab and a cross from Caron.
Caron throws the left hand but Nelson avoids the punch easily. Caron is looking to clinch. Nelson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Caron to score with a decent uppercut. Caron tries to clinch up but Nelson circles away and keeps his distance.
Nelson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Caron's guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Nelson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Nelson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Caron is keeping the position for now. Nelson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nelson throws a big right hand that misses.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Caron keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. Caron is looking to stand up but Nelson isn't so interested in that idea. Nelson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
 OK we're going to have a standup here. Gunnar Nelson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nice shot lands for Nelson. Nelson avoids the head kick by Caron.
Nelson tries for a takedown but Caron sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Caron misses with a double jab
and Nelson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Caron goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Gunnar Nelson has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Caron misses with a head kick.
Caron avoids the body shot from Nelson.
Nelson dives in and grabs Caron's left leg, looking for a takedown. Caron pushes down on Nelson's head and hops out. Josepha Caron has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gunnar Nelson. Caron's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nelson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Caron scrambles back to his feet. Caron on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nelson lands with a good body shot. Nelson darts in looking for a takedown but Caron gets double underhooks and turns Nelson into the cage.
Nelson jumps guard and drags Caron to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Nelson looking to control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nelson wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gunnar Nelson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gunnar Nelson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Caron slips under a jab. Josepha Caron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Caron lands a leg kick that knocks Nelson off balance momentarily.
Nelson clinches. Caron looking to throw knees to the head but Nelson is blocking nicely.
Nelson working some nice short punches in the clinch. Nelson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Nelson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Caron misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Caron feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nelson's calf. Caron wants to clinch but Nelson slips to the side
and Nelson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Caron lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Caron with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Nelson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Nelson tries to break free but Caron pushes him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Caron swings wildly with an uppercut but Nelson uses good head movement to avoid it. Caron looking to throw knees to the head but Nelson is blocking nicely.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Caron is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Caron misses with a knee strike.
Nelson throws a punch but it's blocked by Caron. Caron struggles to land a body shot inside as Nelson controls his hands.
Nelson lands a hook that snaps the head of Caron backwards. Nelson wants to get back to striking at distance but Caron won't allow it.

Nelson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Caron fails with an attempt to clinch.

Caron throws a lazy uppercut
and Caron takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Josepha Caron has been cut. Nelson blocks a head kick by Caron.

Nelson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Caron. Nelson moves away from the strike by Caron. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Caron, right into the meat.
Nelson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Caron manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Caron keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. Nelson throws a big right hand that misses. Nelson controlling from the top position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
 The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gunnar Nelson.
Nelson clinches up with Caron and pushes him back against the cage. Caron swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nelson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Caron clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Well, with Nelson on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Caron is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Nelson is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Nelson lands an elbow to the side of the head. Caron knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground. Caron is covering up but some of the strikes from Nelson are getting through and doing damage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Oooh a big shot gets through from Nelson. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Nelson gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Nelson controls the position. Nelson lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nelson working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gunnar Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Sloppy strikes from Caron. Those never looked like landing. A good leg kick by Nelson. Caron gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Nelson. Nelson has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. A nice leg kick lands there from Nelson. A slapping leg kick lands for Caron.
A nice inside leg kick there by Nelson. That's going to slow Caron down. Caron misses with a head kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Caron!
This has been an exciting period of action! Caron tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nelson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nelson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Nelson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nelson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gunnar Nelson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Nelson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Caron is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gunnar Nelson! As Gunnar Nelson got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Sorry Mike, but even Doc can't stop me.'.
