Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Howards Rock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Nickels!
The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickels shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rock pinned against the cage. Rock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nickels closes the distance and clinches up with Rock, looking for a takedown. Nickels pushes Rock against the cage but Rock circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nickels pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nickels fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nickels has managed to clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Rock.
Rock lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Jason Nickels has been cut.
Rock misses with an elbow over the top.
Nickels lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Nickels takes an elbow to the forehead.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Nickels.
Rock creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Nickels's defenses.
Rock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nickels connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rock clinches up against the cage.
Nickels is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Rock gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Nickels throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Nickels tries to stall but Rock uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Nickels tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Rock lands an uppercut.
Rock wants a takedown.
Nickels is trying to maintain a safe position but Rock gets an underhook and turns Nickels into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rock gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nickels looks gassed!
Rock is working for a submission of some sort.
Rock sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nickels defending well though.
Nickels is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rock scores with a couple of nice shots.
Nickels is rocked!
Rock is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Nickels is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
