Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Meyner ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tj Wash! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wash throws a right hand that Meyner ducks under and follows up with a left that Meyner also avoids with ease. Wash with a lazy takedown attempt and Meyner counters with a left and a right that stings Wash. Wash throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Some wild striking there from Wash.

Wash takes the fight into the clinch. Meyner wants to take the fight to the mat but Wash manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Meyner can't get the takedown.
Meyner tries to pull guard but Wash won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Meyner . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wash jumps into guard, dragging Meyner to the mat.
Meyner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wash works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Meyner postures up and lands a big shot to Wash's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Meyner wants to control from the top but Wash keeps moving. Wash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wash is trying to control the action in half guard but Meyner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wash wants to pass to mount but Meyner is defending the position. Meyner is looking for a sweep. Wash is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Meyner wants to get back to full guard. Wash takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wash seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Wash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meyner keeps working.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wash tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Meyner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Meyner shoots in but no luck this time. Wash is looking to clinch but Meyner is avoiding it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Wash circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wash feints and as Meyner raises his hands in defense, Wash changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Meyner working a defensive guard but Wash manages to pass into side control anyway.
Wash working the strikes but Meyner uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Meyner blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wash.
Meyner actively working from the bottom here. Meyner is breathing heavily. Wash not landing any meaningful shots this time.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Wash thows a huge punch but Meyner dodges it nicely.
Wash is looking to advance position but Meyner won't allow it. Meyner wants to get back to his feet.
Wash is controlling the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wash tries to stand but his arm is trapped. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Tj Wash dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice sprawl there from Meyner as Wash shoots in. Meyner tries to clinch but Wash moves out of range.
Meyner gets tackled into the cage by Wash. Wash maintains the clinch. Wash gets underhooks to prevent Meyner 's takedown attempt.
Meyner works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Wash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Meyner wants to get up but he can't break Wash's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Wash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Meyner . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Meyner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Wash has his foot on Meyner 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Meyner works his way back into a safe position though. Tj Wash has got the better of the ground game so far. Wash is pulling down on Meyner 's head to control his posture.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Meyner trying to control but Wash is working from the bottom. Wash trying to keep a closed guard but Meyner is proving a slippery customer.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wash pulls Meyner in close to prevent any damage.

 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Meyner slaps away a takedown attempt from Wash, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wash defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Meyner .

Meyner has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Wash is trying to keep an underhook but Meyner manages to get the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wash wants to get back to full guard. Meyner maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Wash could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Meyner has cracked it and Wash is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Meyner !
