The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banchamek fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Uitto avoids it really well and circles away.
Banchamek dives in and grabs Uitto's left leg, looking for a takedown. Uitto pushes down on Banchamek's head and hops out.

Uitto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Uitto wants to free his trapped foot but Banchamek is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Mikko Uitto wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Uitto stalks Banchamek and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Banchamek's face. Banchamek staggers backwards, shaken.

Uitto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Uitto avoids the head kick by Banchamek.
A punch combination from Uitto misses.
Uitto shoots in and drives through. Banchamek sprawls well.
Uitto keeps the fight on the outside.
Banchamek throws a wild body kick that Uitto sees coming a mile off.
Banchamek throws a head kick that misses.
Banchamek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Uitto paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Banchamek is trying hard to land a takedown here. Uitto sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mikko Uitto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buakaw Banchamek.

Uitto controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Uitto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Banchamek can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Uitto controls the pace.
Uitto lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Banchamek throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Uitto escapes and throws Banchamek's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Uitto working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Banchamek turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Uitto off and cradles Banchamek's limp body as Uitto celebrates with his corner.
