Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osama Robins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the cage accompanied by Thin Lizzy - Angel of Death. Robins has chosen Strippekikk as his entrance music. Osama Robins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leandro Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
42 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Osama Robins! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Alves looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Alves throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Alves moves out of range of the strikes. Alves steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Robins. That one must have hurt. Robins misses with a right hand and Alves counters with a nice double leg into side control. Robins won't be happy with that. Robins avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Alves. Alves working the head and body with strikes. Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! Robins is not content to let Alves control the position. Robins tries to bench press Alves off him but Alves keeps the position. Alves wants to control but Robins is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robins is looking to regain half guard here but Alves keeps moving and retains side control. Alves advances nicely into full mount. Alves looking to control but Robins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robins is working to get back to half guard.
Robins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Robins is bucking up trying to escape but Alves cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves lands a heavy elbow. Alves wants to control but Robins has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Robins keeping hold of Alves's head, controlling as best he can. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Robins wants to get back to full guard. Robins won't allow Alves to pass to mount. Robins is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Alves has latched onto it... Big trouble! Alves pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Robins is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Alves!
