14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Williams! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christopher drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Christopher keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Williams misses with a looping left. Christopher misses with a straight left. Williams takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Christopher just misses with a punch to the body.
Williams blocks a low kick nicely. Christopher listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Christopher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Williams misses with a hook. Christopher ducked under it nicely. Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Christopher throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Christopher cracks Williams with a good jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Christopher is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Christopher circles away and we're back to standing. A jab from Christopher misses. Good shot there by Christopher. Williams changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Williams tries to keep at a distance but Christopher has taken the fight into the clinch. Williams blocking some punches.
Christopher lands with a right to the head. Williams looking to slow down the pace here. Williams changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Christopher fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but Christopher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Leonard Christopher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Williams.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Christopher moves away. The fight stays on the outside here - Christopher looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Christopher blocks a jab. Nice shot lands for Williams. Christopher throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Williams thows a left - swing and a miss! Christopher darts in and clinches Williams up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christopher working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Williams goes for a takedown attempt but Christopher pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jab, jab by Christopher - just one landing. Williams misses with an uppercut. Williams swings for the body but Christopher moves out of range.
Williams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Christopher. Christopher leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A good leg kick by Christopher.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Christopher uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Williams. Leonard Christopher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Christopher scores with a jab to the body. Christopher connects with a nice looking jab.

Christopher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Christopher gets through Williams's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Christopher throws a knee to the head but misses.

A looping hook to the body misses from Williams. Christopher does a little dance to reset his feet. Williams connects with a jab. Williams misses with a takedown attempt - Christopher sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Williams lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Christopher has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Christopher and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Christopher lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Williams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Christopher tries to buck Williams off but Williams is having none of it. Christopher is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. Christopher is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Zero Tolerance, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Christopher tries to bench press Williams off him but Williams keeps the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Christopher is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christopher is trying to work for a sweep but Williams has mounted him! Williams in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams prevents Christopher from getting the reversal. Williams has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Christopher's face.
Williams pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Christopher wants to control but Williams is having none of it. Christopher is in all sorts of trouble here.
Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Christopher is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christopher tries to get back to half guard but can't. Williams looking to control and managing it successfully. The referee warns Christopher that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Williams raining down hammerfists from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams with good strikes from the mount here! Williams with the ground and pound from mount. Christopher is squirming around, avoiding Williams's attempts to control the action. Williams content just to control the position here. Williams wants to control the pace but Christopher is squirming around nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Williams cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Jackson Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Christopher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A swing and a miss from Williams. Christopher throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Christopher throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Williams fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Christopher is out of range. Christopher is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams. Christopher throws the kick towards the body but Williams avoids it. Christopher smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Christopher misses with a hook
and Williams counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Christopher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Christopher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Christopher's legs - danger averted. Christopher keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully.

Williams goes for a double leg but Christopher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Christopher continues to drive forward. Williams connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Christopher scores with a nice strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. OK we're going to have a standup here. Jackson Williams hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Christopher throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Leonard Christopher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Christopher's corner calls for a 1-2. Christopher obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Williams keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Christopher swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Christopher throws a leg kick which misses Williams's front leg but catches the back leg as Williams tries to avoid it. Williams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Christopher manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Christopher has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Williams landing with the ground and pound. Williams works over Christopher with some ground and pound from guard.
